Friends of the Abbey Church of Preuilly

In 2024, a survey of the entire site identified the most urgent interventions required. First and foremost, it concluded that it is necessary to consolidate and secure the entirety of the ruins of the abbey church. Although stabilization efforts were carried out more than 20 years ago, a comprehensive intervention is now needed to ensure their long-term preservation.

With this goal of safeguarding the site, and on the initiative of François Blary, Professor of Art History and Medieval Archaeology at ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and director of research at Preuilly, the association “Friends of the Abbey Church of Preuilly” (Association Loi 1901) was founded in February 2025. Its purpose is to gather support and raise the necessary funds for the consolidation and preservation of the remains that have survived to this day.

Les travaux s'étaleront sur plusieurs années mais les premières étapes ont déjà été franchies avec succès.
